Saad Yagan is a renowned contemporary Syrian expressionist painter, born in Aleppo in 1950. Known for his powerful figurative works, Yagan captures the emotional and social life of Aleppo through scenes inspired by café culture, mythology, literature, and music. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Aleppo and later at Damascus University, holding his first solo exhibition in 1969. Over a career spanning more than five decades, his works have been exhibited internationally and are included in major public and private collections across the Middle East, Europe, and North America. He currently lives and works in Beirut.
