Souad Abdelrasoul is an Egyptian artist born in 1974 who lives and works in Cairo. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1998, earned her master’s degree in Art History in 2005, and completed her PhD in Modern Art History in 2012. Her multidisciplinary practice spans painting, drawing, sculpture, and graphic design, blending abstract and figurative forms. Through metamorphosed human, animal, and botanical figures, Abdelrasoul explores the relationship between humans and nature, as well as themes of femininity, identity, and cultural values. Her works have been widely exhibited internationally since 1998.
