The Divine Sight

The Quran, which is the central religious text of Islam, does not specifically mention “retina vision” by name. However, there are verses in the Quran that allude to the concept of vision and the ability to see. For example, in Surah Al- An’am, Verse 103, it is stated:
“And it is He who has created the heavens and the earth in truth. And on the Day He says, ‘Be,’ and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.”
Although this verse does not explicitly mention the retina or the physiology of the eye, it alludes to the idea that Allah (God) is the Creator of all things, including the ability to see and perceive the world around us. Additionally, throughout the Quran, there are references to the importance of using one’s eyesight to observe and contemplate the natural world and the signs of God’s existence and power.
